Albania Map Poster & Print
Albania sits in the south of La Guajira, on low, dry ground between the Serranía del Perijá and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. From above, the town is a small, tight block of streets surrounded by open scrubland. The lines on the map thin out quickly into tracks, fence lines and seasonal streambeds. Few maps show as clearly how much empty space can surround a settlement.
The municipality is closely tied to the Cerrejón coal operation, one of the largest open-pit mines in Latin America. Its haul roads and rail corridor leave long, straight marks across the surrounding land. Those engineered lines contrast with the loose, irregular pattern of rural paths. In black and white, that difference becomes the main story of the drawing.
An Albania map poster keeps the town at the centre and lets the plain spread to the edges. The simplest styles suit it best. The street grid reads as a dense cluster of short lines, and the empty ground around it gives the composition room to breathe. The result is a quiet record of a place that rarely appears on anyone's wall.

Mine corridor
Roads and rail serving the Cerrejón coal operation cut long, straight lines across the region. They are the most engineered shapes anywhere on the map and give the sparse landscape a clear direction.
Dry river valley
The surrounding land belongs to the wide, dry valley drained by the Ranchería River. Seasonal watercourses leave faint, branching traces through the scrub around the town.

Zakaj Albania
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For someone from La Guajira, or someone who has worked around the mines, this map holds a very specific geography: a small grid, a lot of open land and the long lines that connect them. It is a personal piece rather than a tourist souvenir, and that is often why it means more.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, so you can add a family name, a year or a date that matters. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Then download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
