Narrow strait to Futuna
Only a slim channel of water divides Alofi from Futuna's coast, so the two islands often share the frame and read as a pair rather than as isolated specks.

Alofi Island Map Poster & Print
Alofi is the smaller of the two Hoorn Islands in the French overseas collectivity of Wallis and Futuna, in the South Pacific just southeast of Futuna. From above it looks like a compact, rounded block of high ground. Forest covers the interior, and a pale band of fringing reef follows the edges. There are almost no roads to draw, so the coastline has to carry the whole composition.
The island is best understood alongside Futuna. Only a narrow strait separates the two, and Alofi has no permanent villages of its own. People from Futuna cross over to tend gardens and plantations, so the map shows paths and clearings rather than streets. On paper the island becomes a study in contour and shoreline, with the open Pacific filling the margins.
An Alofi Island map poster suits anyone who has travelled this far into the Pacific, or who simply likes a place shaped by water and reef rather than traffic. In black and white, the island's outline, the lagoon edge and the nearby coast of Futuna make a spare, balanced image that sits easily on a quiet wall.

Fringing reef line
A pale reef edge follows much of the shoreline and draws a second, softer outline just offshore, which gives the island's silhouette depth on the print.
Uninhabited interior
With no permanent settlements, the high, forested interior appears almost empty. Where most maps would show a web of streets, this one keeps a clean shape.

Zakaj Alofi Island
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
People hang Alofi because it is so remote. It might recall a long crossing or a family link to Wallis and Futuna, or reflect a liking for islands that remain mostly untouched. The quiet outline works well in a study, a bedroom or a hallway where a busy city map would feel too loud.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with the date of a visit, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD digital files cost $9 and include six print sizes. You can also order a printed poster on matte paper with an optional wooden frame.
