Alquízar Map Poster & Print
Alquízar lies in Artemisa province on the broad, level plain that stretches south and west of Havana toward the southern coast. From above, the town is a tidy block of streets set among farmland, with roads leaving on each side toward neighbouring towns. There are no hills or large rivers to bend the plan, so the grid holds its shape.
Like many towns in this part of western Cuba, Alquízar grew as an agricultural centre surrounded by fields that have been worked for generations. The land around it belongs to a productive farming belt that supplies the capital region. The pattern of plots and farm roads beyond the edge of town is as much a part of its map as the streets themselves.
An Alquízar map poster emphasises that clarity. Blocks line up in even rows, the centre gives the grid a focal point, and the country roads run out into open space. The result is calm and orderly, a good fit for anyone who likes the plain geometry of traditional Cuban street plans.

Town centre
As in most Cuban towns, the grid gathers around a central area of public space. On the map this is the natural anchor of the plan, with the busiest streets meeting nearby.
Roads into farmland
Roads leave the town in straight lines across the plain, linking it to nearby settlements and fields. They extend the geometry of the grid out into the surrounding countryside.
