Amsterdamse Bos
This planted forest park covers the western side of the town with woodland, meadows, ponds and paths. It forms a large, finely textured area that balances the denser streets to the east.

Amstelveen Map Poster & Print
Amstelveen lies directly south of Amsterdam in North Holland, and from above it reads as a planned garden city. Residential neighbourhoods of curving streets and cul-de-sacs sit between straight polder roads, canals and ditches. A tram line runs north to the capital, and the A9 motorway cuts across the town. Everything is flat, so the drawing depends on water and green space rather than on relief.
The western edge is the Amsterdamse Bos, a large forest park laid out by hand from the 1930s onward. Its lakes, winding paths and the long straight rowing course of the Bosbaan make one of the most distinctive shapes in the region. Amstelveen is also home to the head office of KLM and to the Cobra Museum of modern art, and it has a large international and Japanese community.
An Amstelveen map poster shows how carefully the Dutch arrange their land. On paper you can see the ruler-straight polder boundaries, the softer lines of the residential districts, and the woodland to the west, crossed by its paths. It is an orderly, restful map. It suits someone who lived here for a posting abroad as much as someone who grew up cycling its lanes.

The Bosbaan
A dead-straight rowing course of about two kilometres runs through the forest. On the poster it appears as one clean stroke among the curving woodland paths.
Polder water
Canals, ditches and small lakes outline the older polders around the town. Together they form a fine lattice of lines that is characteristic of the North Holland landscape.

Zakaj Amstelveen
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Many people spend a few years in Amstelveen for work at one of the international companies nearby, and they want something to remember it by when they leave. Others were born here. For either, a map of the streets between the forest and the canals is a restrained reminder that doesn't date.
Add your own title and subtitle, perhaps your street or the years you lived here, and adjust the coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The Blueprint style in particular suits the planned layout.
