Anáhuac Map Poster & Print
Anáhuac lies in the north of Nuevo León, on the flat, dry plains that stretch toward the United States border. From above, it looks strongly planned. Streets form a regular grid of equal blocks, laid out on open ground with few natural obstacles. Beyond the town, straight rural roads and field boundaries continue the geometry across the plain.
The town developed in the twentieth century as a centre for an irrigated farming district that relies on water stored and distributed through dams and canals in the region. Irrigation channels and field boundaries still divide the landscape into long rectangles. The railway and highways connect Anáhuac to Nuevo Laredo and Monterrey, adding long lines to the flat map.
An Anáhuac map poster is a lesson in order: a clear grid, straight roads and regular fields that make a strong graphic image. It suits families with long ties to the farming district, people who grew up in the north of Nuevo León and anyone who likes the clean look of planned towns.
