Anwen Map Poster & Print
Anwen is a town within the Chongqing municipality in southwestern China, in a region shaped by hills and folded terrain. Settlements here rarely follow straight lines. Instead, roads trace the contours of valleys and slopes, and the built-up area stretches along the most usable ground. From above, this gives the town an organic, elongated form.
The surrounding landscape is largely rural, with terraced fields, small clusters of houses and narrow roads that climb and descend between them. Water tends to follow the valley floors, and routes often run alongside it. The result on a map is a web of curving lines that feels quite different from the planned grids of China's larger cities.
An Anwen map poster suits someone with a personal link to this part of Chongqing, whether they grew up here or have family in the area. Printed in black and white, the winding roads and irregular street pattern become a striking composition in their own right.

Elongated town centre
The built-up area stretches along the available flat ground instead of spreading evenly, creating a long, narrow cluster of streets on the page.
Rural hill country
Around the town, sparse roads and scattered settlements thread through hilly terrain, giving the edges of the poster a light, open texture.

Zakaj Anwen
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Many people from rural Chongqing have moved to larger cities or abroad, and a map of their home town keeps that place present. The shape of the streets is personal in a way a photograph of the region is not.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Each gives the same streets a different mood.
