The Village core
A tight cluster of short blocks beside Arroyo Grande Creek, the oldest part of town, reads as the densest patch of linework on the whole sheet.

Arroyo Grande Map Poster & Print
Arroyo Grande sits in southern San Luis Obispo County, one of the Five Cities that cluster near the Pacific. On a map the town follows its namesake creek, which runs from the eastern hills toward the coast. U.S. Route 101 cuts a clean diagonal through the western side and separates newer subdivisions from the older streets near the water.
The historic Village is the town's small anchor: a few compact blocks of older buildings beside the creek, joined to the far bank by a pedestrian swinging bridge that residents know well. Around it, streets loosen into curving residential loops, and then give way to the long rectangular fields of the Arroyo Grande Valley, where agriculture still shapes the edges of town.
An Arroyo Grande map poster shows these layers together. The dense cross-hatching of the Village, the rounded cul-de-sacs climbing the slopes and the straight farm roads heading inland make a composition that feels coastal and rural at once. In black and white, the creek becomes a thin connecting thread that ties the whole drawing together.

Creek and bridge
The creek winds through town from the hills toward the sea, and a pedestrian swinging bridge crosses it close to the Village streets.
Valley field edges
East of the built-up area, straight farm roads and long parcel lines mark the agricultural valley, a quieter geometric counterpoint to the curving suburban streets.
