Arsuz Map Poster & Print
Arsuz lies on the southern shore of the Gulf of İskenderun in Hatay province, where wooded hills come down to the Mediterranean. The town occupies a narrow strip between the hills and the sea, and that setting shapes almost all of its map. There is a long coastline, streets that run parallel to the water, and roads that climb inland into the slopes.
The site is ancient. In antiquity this was Rhosus, a port on the coast between Cilicia and Syria, and for centuries the town stayed a small fishing and farming place. In recent decades Arsuz has become a popular seaside destination for people from Hatay and beyond. In 2013 it became a district in its own right, and summer houses and hotels now line the shore.
An Arsuz map poster follows the coastline in a single clean line. The town gathers around the river mouth, and holiday neighbourhoods run along the beach. Behind them the street pattern loosens into roads that wind up the hillside. With sea on one side and slopes on the other, it makes a simple, strong composition for a minimalist black-and-white print.

River mouth
The Arsuz stream reaches the sea in the middle of town, and the older centre gathers around it. On the map it is the densest knot of streets near the water.
Hillside roads
Inland, roads wind up into the hills toward the surrounding villages. Their loose, curving lines contrast with the neat rows of streets along the shore.

Zakaj Arsuz
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For people from Hatay, Arsuz is where summers were spent. After the hard years the region has been through, a map of the town carries real feeling. It also suits anyone who remembers a holiday here and wants something more lasting than a photograph.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a year or a family name, and keep the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint and Noir make the coastline especially striking. The files cost $9, or you can order a framed print.
