Ashdod Map Poster & Print
Ashdod lies on Israel's southern Mediterranean coast, and from above its outline is shaped by a straight shoreline. The city was planned from the 1950s as a series of residential quarters, and the map shows these neighbourhoods as distinct units, each with its own internal network of streets, separated by wide boulevards and green belts.
In the north, a large deepwater port extends into the sea with long breakwaters, forming one of the most striking geometric shapes on the coast. The Lachish river reaches the sea near the port, and to the south, sand dunes and beaches stretch along the shore.
Ashdod is one of Israel's main port cities and one of its fastest-growing, though the site has ancient roots, with remains of Ashdod-Yam and an earlier fortress along the coast. An Ashdod map poster captures the order of a planned city and the clean edge of the Mediterranean beside it.

Numbered quarters
Neighbourhoods were planned as distinct quarters, each with its own internal street layout, giving the map a modular, cell-like pattern separated by boulevards.
Coastal dunes
South of the city, a band of sand dunes and beaches runs along the shore, softening the map's edge where the urban grid meets the sea.
