Avon Map Poster & Print
Avon lies west of Hartford in the Farmington River valley. On a map, the valley and the ridges around it set the town's basic shape. The main road runs through the valley floor, with commercial areas along it, and residential streets branch up the gentle slopes on either side.
To the east, Talcott Mountain rises as a long ridge, and the streets stop at its wooded slope. The Farmington River winds through the town, with open land and green space along its banks. On the western side, subdivisions and winding roads extend into the hills, where the landscape becomes more wooded and rural.
An Avon map poster shows a classic New England town: a river valley, a ridge, and scattered neighbourhoods on quiet roads with plenty of trees around them. Avon Old Farms School, with its distinctive campus, also lies within the town. The print gives a calm picture of the valley that residents and alumni know well.

Farmington River
The river winds through the valley with green space along its banks. Its curves add a gentle, flowing line through the centre of the town.
Hillside neighbourhoods
Residential streets curve up into the western hills and end in cul-de-sacs. They create a branching pattern that fills much of the poster.
