Contour-led streets
Instead of a planned grid, streets bend along the slopes of the highlands. The result is a network of curves and forks that gives the poster a flowing, natural rhythm.

Bafoussam Map Poster & Print
Bafoussam is the capital of Cameroon's West Region and lies in the highlands, where the ground rises and falls in steady waves. From above, the city has no rigid grid. Roads follow the contours, climbing ridges and dropping into valleys, and neighbourhoods spread out along them in irregular branching shapes.
This is the heartland of the Bamiléké peoples, whose traditional chiefdoms still structure life across the region, and Bafoussam grew as a market and administrative centre for the surrounding farmland. Coffee has long been one of the main crops of these hills. Main roads converge on the city from several directions, making it a natural regional crossroads.
A Bafoussam map poster brings out the organic quality of a city shaped by terrain. The lines look almost hand-drawn: dense in the centre, then thinning into lanes and paths that run into the countryside. In monochrome it reads as a web settled over the hills.

Regional crossroads
Several main roads meet in Bafoussam, linking it with other towns of the West Region and beyond. They appear as bolder lines drawing the eye toward the centre.
Fading edges
At the city's margins, dense blocks give way to scattered lanes and footpaths heading into farmland, a gradual fade that frames the urban core neatly.
