Bahawalnagar Map Poster & Print
Bahawalnagar stands on the level farmland of southern Punjab, close to the Sutlej River and not far from the border with India. From above the town is a compact cluster of streets set in a landscape ruled by straight lines: canals, field boundaries and roads run for long distances with barely a bend. It is a map where the countryside is as graphic as the town itself.
The surrounding district is part of one of the largest irrigation systems in the world, and the canals that feed it show on a map as fine, confident strokes crossing the plain. A railway line passes through the town, and the older centre has the tighter, irregular lanes of a traditional bazaar town, loosening into newer blocks toward the edges.
A Bahawalnagar map poster pairs that dense core with the geometry of the farmland around it. Framed a little wider, the Sutlej appears as a broad meandering band, the one curving line in a landscape otherwise divided into rectangles. It is an understated composition, and a fitting portrait of a town that lives from the land around it.

Sutlej River
On a wider framing the Sutlej appears to the south as a broad, braided channel, its soft curves standing out against the straight lines of the fields.
Bazaar core
The oldest part of town has closely packed, irregular lanes around the market, contrasting with the more open and regular blocks built further out.
