Bangaon Map Poster & Print
Bangaon lies in Saharsa district in northern Bihar, on the wide plain built up by the Kosi River and its many former channels. The land is almost perfectly flat, and the map shows it. Roads run straight between settlements, lanes branch irregularly between houses, and the built-up area merges gradually into the surrounding farmland without a clear edge.
Water is always present on the Kosi plain. Ponds, tanks and old river courses appear throughout the area, and the region is known for the floods the Kosi has brought over the centuries. From above, these features show as scattered irregular shapes and faint curving lines, a record of how the landscape has shifted around the settlement.
A Bangaon map poster is above all a map of home. It suits people who grew up here and now live in Patna, Delhi or abroad, and families who want a single image of the lanes and ponds they know. Minimal lines keep the design clean, even where the pattern of lanes is at its most intricate.

Ponds and tanks
Many ponds are scattered through and around the settlement. They appear as small white shapes that break up the dense pattern of lanes and houses.
Organic lanes
Instead of following a planned grid, the lanes trace older property lines and paths. The result is an irregular, organic network typical of rural Bihar.
