Barberena Map Poster & Print
Barberena lies in the department of Santa Rosa, in the hills southeast of Guatemala City. The town sits along the main highway heading toward El Salvador, and that road forms the spine of the map. From it, a small grid of streets extends to either side before the land becomes steeper and more rural.
The area is part of Guatemala's upland farming country, where coffee and other crops grow on the slopes. Barberena is a local centre for the surrounding villages, and its position on the highway makes it a stopping point for traffic moving between the capital and the southeast.
A Barberena map poster shows a compact town with a strong linear axis. The grid is regular near the centre and loosens at the edges, where roads begin to follow the terrain. It is a simple, readable composition, with the highway providing a clear sense of direction.

Central grid
Near the centre, streets follow a regular Spanish colonial pattern, forming a neat block structure that anchors the poster.
Hilly edges
Toward the outskirts, roads curve with the slopes and the grid breaks up, reflecting the upland terrain around the town.
