Barrancabermeja Map Poster & Print
Barrancabermeja sits on the eastern bank of the Magdalena River in the Middle Magdalena region of Santander. It is widely known as Colombia's oil capital. The country's largest refinery, operated by Ecopetrol, occupies a large area beside the river, and the city grew around it. On a map, the industrial complex, the waterfront and the residential districts form three distinct textures.
The surrounding landscape is low and wet. Ciénagas, shallow lakes and marshes connected to the river system, press against the urban area and influence where streets can go. The Magdalena itself, wide and braided with islands, runs along the western edge and remains an important route for river traffic.
A Barrancabermeja map poster brings those elements into one frame. It shows the broad river, the irregular wetlands, and the refinery's large and orderly grounds, with neighbourhoods packed between them. It is a map of a working city, and its mix of water, industry and housing produces an unusually varied composition.

The refinery
The country's largest oil refinery covers a broad area beside the river. Its regular internal layout contrasts sharply with the surrounding neighbourhoods.
Ciénagas
Shallow wetlands and lakes surround parts of the city. Their irregular shapes break up the street network and bring large calm areas to the map.

Zakaj Barrancabermeja
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For oil workers, engineers and families from the Magdalena Medio, Barrancabermeja is more than an industrial town. It is a place of shared work and river life, and a map of it honours that connection plainly.
Customise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir renders the river and wetlands as pale shapes against a dark field.
