Bedlington Map Poster & Print
Bedlington is a town in south-east Northumberland, a short distance inland from the North Sea coast. Its historic centre follows a long, broad main street running along higher ground, while the River Blyth winds through a wooded valley along the southern side of the town.
Around the old core, the map fills with twentieth-century housing and the remains of former colliery settlements, reflecting the area's long association with coal. Bedlington also gave its name to the Bedlington Terrier, the lamb-like dog breed that originated in this part of Northumberland.
A Bedlington map poster traces the spine of the main street, the curve of the river valley and the looser clusters of streets that grew around the pits. It shows a town set in open, rolling country, with the coast and the towns of Blyth and Ashington nearby.

River Blyth valley
To the south the Blyth runs through a wooded, winding valley, a dark, curving band that separates the town from the countryside across the water.
Colliery settlements
Scattered groups of terraced streets around the town mark former mining communities, giving the surrounding map a pattern of small, dense clusters among fields.
