White Lake
The lake that gives the town its name lies close to the built-up area. It is the largest single shape on the map and anchors the composition.

Beloozyorskiy Map Poster & Print
Beloozyorskiy lies in the Voskresensk area of Moscow Oblast, in the low, forested country of the Meshchera region. Its name comes from the nearby White Lake, and water is the most striking part of the map. Lakes and ponds lie next to the town and scatter across the surrounding woodland, and their pale outlines contrast with the dark mass of the forest.
The town is a compact planned settlement from the Soviet period. Five-storey apartment blocks and courtyards line straight streets, and a few main roads lead in and out. Around the edges, garden plots and dacha settlements spread out in a finer grid before giving way to the pines. A railway line runs nearby and links the town to the wider region.
A Beloozyorskiy map poster pairs the neat order of a Soviet housing plan with the loose, natural shapes of lakes and forest paths. In the Blueprint or Noir styles, the water becomes especially graphic, a series of calm shapes beside the strict lines of the streets.

Planned residential blocks
Rows of apartment buildings arranged around courtyards form a regular pattern, typical of towns built quickly in the Soviet era.
Forest and dachas
Garden plots in fine, dense grids surround the town, and beyond them lies unbroken pine forest crossed only by tracks and a railway line.
