O'Hare's edge
The airport's straight parallel runways press up against the village's eastern boundary, and their scale contrasts sharply with the small residential blocks beside them.

Bensenville Map Poster & Print
Bensenville lies west of Chicago in DuPage and Cook counties. From above, it is defined by what surrounds it. O'Hare International Airport borders the village to the east, and its long runways and taxiways form some of the most striking geometry anywhere in the region. Part of the village's eastern edge was taken for airport expansion in recent decades.
Inside the village, the layout is classic Midwestern suburb: rectangular residential blocks, a small historic centre along the Milwaukee District rail line, and industrial parks full of warehouses and freight buildings. A large rail yard runs through the area. Salt Creek winds through from the north, and its curves and the green space along it soften the grid.
A Bensenville map poster brings together two scales of American infrastructure: quiet streets where people live, and the airport and freight lines that move goods and travellers across the continent. In monochrome, the runways read as bold strokes and the homes as fine texture, which makes it a surprisingly graphic piece.

Rail yard lines
Dozens of parallel freight tracks fan out across the village. They form a long band of fine lines that anyone who knows the area will recognise at once.
Salt Creek
The creek meanders through Bensenville with parkland along its banks, adding a soft, curving line to an otherwise very rectilinear map.

Zakaj Bensenville
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Bensenville draws people who have grown up next to the planes, worked in logistics or aviation, or simply love the patterns that infrastructure leaves on a map. The poster sits well in a home office, a hallway or a workplace near the airport.
You can personalise it with a title, subtitle and coordinates line, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the runway geometry especially well.
