Residential grid
Evenly spaced streets of single-family houses give most of the borough a dense, regular texture that looks clear and rhythmic when printed in fine black lines.

Bergenfield Map Poster & Print
Bergenfield lies in Bergen County in northern New Jersey, among the closely packed suburban boroughs west of the Hudson. From above, it is a dense, orderly pattern of residential streets, mostly straight and evenly spaced. Small commercial strips line the main roads, and the borough boundaries meet the neighbouring towns without any visible gap.
In places the grid changes direction where earlier roads and later developments met, so the map is a patchwork of slightly different orientations. Parks, schools and playing fields appear as open rectangles within the pattern. Cooper's Pond, a small park and pond in the borough, adds a rare patch of water to an otherwise landlocked plan.
Bergenfield is home to one of the larger Filipino-American communities in New Jersey, reflected in many of its local businesses and community events. A Bergenfield map poster captures the borough's physical character, a place of family houses and quiet streets, in precise lines that show how closely its blocks fit together.

Shifting orientations
Sections of the grid meet at slight angles where different developments were laid out, giving the map subtle breaks and changes of direction.
Cooper's Pond
A small pond in a park within the borough is one of the few water features on the map, a soft shape among the straight streets.
