Bergneustadt Map Poster & Print
Bergneustadt is a small town in the Oberbergischer Kreis, in the hilly Bergisches Land east of Cologne. It was founded in the early fourteenth century as a fortified settlement by the Counts of the Mark. The historic centre on its ridge still preserves the outline of that early town, with slate-clad houses typical of the region.
On a map, Bergneustadt is shaped by its terrain. Streets follow valleys and wind up slopes, and the town spreads in several directions along the easiest ground rather than in a compact block. Forest covers much of the surrounding land and appears as broad, quiet space, while the A4 motorway passes nearby on its route between Cologne and Olpe.
A Bergneustadt map poster captures the character of an upland town where nearly every street bends. The compact old town on its ridge, the looser suburbs in the valleys and the dark sweep of woodland beyond make for a composition that feels organic and calm. It is a natural fit for anyone who knows the Bergisches Land.

Valley streets
Residential roads curve along valley floors and climb the slopes, forming a branching pattern that mirrors the hilly terrain of the region.
Forest margins
Woodland surrounds the town on many sides, leaving wide open areas on the map that give the street network room and definition.
