Bhāndāria Map Poster & Print
Bhāndāria is a town in Pirojpur district in the Barisal Division of southern Bangladesh, the administrative centre of its upazila. It lies in the low, water-rich country of the Ganges delta, where rivers and tidal channels divide the land into islands and peninsulas, and where boats have long been as important as roads for moving people and goods.
From above, water is the organising principle. The town sits along a river, with the market and main streets close to the bank and landings for boats. Smaller canals branch off into the surrounding countryside, and roads often run on raised embankments, tracing lines through a patchwork of paddy fields, ponds and village homesteads shaded by trees.
A Bhāndāria map poster shows this interplay of land and water with unusual clarity, the river bends drawn as broad pale shapes and the street network gathered where the land is firmest. It is a fitting keepsake for families from the area, many of whom have moved to Dhaka or abroad but keep strong ties to home.

Channels and canals
Narrow waterways wind through the surrounding land in irregular curves, dividing it into distinct pieces and giving the print a fluid, organic structure.
Embankment roads
Roads raised above the flood level follow straight or gently bending lines across the fields, linking the town with villages across the delta landscape.
