Irrigation canals
Straight and gently curving channels run through and around the town. They mark field edges and give the flat Delta landscape most of its visible structure.

Birkat as Sab‘ Map Poster & Print
Birkat as Sab‘ lies in Monufia Governorate, in the southern Nile Delta between the Damietta and Rosetta branches of the river. The land here is flat and heavily farmed. On a map that means a dense, compact town surrounded by a fine web of field boundaries, drainage channels and village roads.
Density in the Delta comes from water and land being scarce, and the town shows it. Buildings press close together, lanes are narrow and irregular, and wider roads and canal banks give the only clear straight lines. Canals are especially important. They set the edges of neighbourhoods and fields, and they appear on the map as long, thin strokes.
A Birkat as Sab‘ map poster suits anyone from the town or the villages around it, and anyone who has taken the roads across Monufia. In monochrome, the canals, rail line and tight core make a quietly detailed image of Delta life.

Compact old core
At the centre, buildings are packed closely along narrow, irregular lanes, the typical dense fabric of a Delta market town.
Farmland mosaic
Small fields surround the built area, so the poster's edges fill with a patchwork of plots and paths that frames the town.
