Kosi Barrage area
The river control works lie just north of the town, at the border with Nepal. On a wider frame, they show where the braided river is gathered and directed.

Bīrpur Map Poster & Print
Bīrpur is in Supaul district in northeastern Bihar, on the wide alluvial plain of the Kosi River. It is close to the Kosi Barrage, which spans the river at Bhimnagar just across the border in Nepal, and much of the town's modern growth is tied to the river control and irrigation works built there.
From above, Bīrpur's streets are more regular than those of many surrounding market towns, with longer, straighter roads and clearer blocks. Around it, the land is flat and heavily cultivated, crossed by canals and embankments that record the long effort to manage one of India's most unpredictable rivers.
A Bīrpur map poster shows that engineered landscape: a structured town, the straight lines of canals and embankments, and the broad river system to the north. It is an unusual map with a story behind it.

Canals and embankments
Long straight channels and raised banks cross the plain. They add precise, engineered lines to an otherwise level agricultural landscape.
Orderly street layout
The town's roads and blocks are more regular than in many neighbouring settlements. This gives the centre a clear, legible structure on paper.
