Brikama Map Poster & Print
Brikama lies in the Western Region of the Gambia, inland from the Atlantic coast and south of the capital, Banjul. It is one of the country's largest urban centres and has grown quickly as people move closer to the coastal towns. On the map, the centre sits at a meeting of main roads, and neighbourhoods spread outward across flat, open land.
The town is well known in the Gambia for its craft market, especially its woodcarvers. Its central market and transport hub serve a wide surrounding area. From above, this role shows in the pattern: dense streets around the centre, looser plots further out, and roads leading off toward the coast and inland villages.
A Brikama map poster shows a town in motion. The older centre is compact, the newer areas spread in broader layouts, and fields and scrub fill the land between neighbouring settlements. In black and white, the changing density from the middle outward makes the map easy to read and quietly detailed.
