Budai Map Poster & Print
Budai is a coastal township in Chiayi County, on the southwestern coast of Taiwan. It faces the Taiwan Strait, and its map is dominated by the shoreline, where land and sea meet in a complex pattern of harbours, lagoons and flat, reclaimed land. The town centre sits close to the water, with streets gathered around the port.
For generations the area has been known for fishing, oyster farming and salt production. Old salt pans and aquaculture ponds cover large parts of the coastal land, creating a grid of rectangles that stands out clearly on the map. Budai Port also serves ferries to the Penghu Islands, linking the township with the offshore archipelago.
A Budai map poster captures this meeting of town, harbour and working coast. The dense streets near the port, the geometric ponds and salt pans, and the open sea together create a distinctive composition that reflects the township's close relationship with the water.
