Blue Hills edge
The Blue Hills Reservation covers Canton's northern reaches, so the map fades from dense residential streets into wide forested ground with only thin trails crossing it.

Canton Map Poster & Print
Canton lies south of Boston in Norfolk County, and from above it is a mix of woodland, water and curving suburban roads. The northern part of town reaches into the Blue Hills Reservation, where the map turns into forest trails and open green. Ponds are scattered across town, and the Neponset River and its tributaries trace irregular lines through the lower ground.
Canton has an industrial past worth knowing. Paul Revere set up a copper rolling mill here in the early nineteenth century, and the town is home to the Canton Viaduct, a stone railway viaduct from 1835 that still carries trains on the line between Boston and Providence. Major highways pass along the town's edges, linking it to the wider metro area.
A Canton, Massachusetts map poster sets all of this against the typical New England road pattern: no grid, just lanes bending around hills and water. In black and white the ponds become clean shapes, the reservation reads as a calm open field, and the railway line gives a straight, purposeful stroke across the town.

Canton Viaduct
The 1835 stone viaduct carries the rail line across a valley in town. On the map the railway draws a steady line through otherwise winding local roads.
Ponds and river
Several ponds and the branches of the Neponset watershed give the map a scattering of water shapes, each a clear white form in the monochrome design.
