The Filyos River
The river winds through the valley in wide bends and gives the whole composition its direction. The town centre sits close to its banks, and the bridges are the main crossings.

Çaycuma Map Poster & Print
Çaycuma sits in the green hills of Zonguldak Province in northern Turkey, a short distance inland from the Black Sea. On a map, the Filyos River decides almost everything. It swings through the valley in broad bends, and the town has grown along it, with a denser centre near the water and newer blocks spreading onto the lower slopes.
Around the built-up area, the lines thin out quickly. Roads climb into the wooded hills in loose curves, and the pattern of fields and farm tracks is small and irregular. The district is also home to the airport that serves Zonguldak, so a long straight runway cuts across a landscape that is otherwise shaped by rivers and hills.
A Çaycuma map poster shows the difference between the soft curves of the valley and the tighter grid of the town centre. In plain black and white, the river becomes the main stroke of the drawing, and the streets gather along it like branches along a stem. It reads as a quiet place, clearly organised around its water.

Airport runway
The regional airport lies within the district. Its straight runway is one of the few truly geometric lines in a landscape otherwise drawn by rivers, hills and winding country roads.
Hillside edges
Beyond the centre, streets thin out into lanes that climb the surrounding slopes. The shift from compact town blocks to scattered rural tracks shows up clearly in black and white.
