Fine-grained lanes
Narrow residential streets form a close, repeating mesh that fills most of the town and reads on paper almost like a woven textile.

Chahār Dangeh Map Poster & Print
Chahār Dangeh lies on the level ground south of Tehran, in the belt of towns that has grown up between the capital and the farmland beyond it. From above, the town is a tight weave of narrow residential lanes, mostly running at right angles. A few wider roads carry traffic through and connect it to the neighbouring cities of the metropolitan area.
Because the terrain is flat, the map is all about density and direction. Blocks are small and closely packed, the street pattern shifts slightly from one neighbourhood to the next, and the edges of the town meet open agricultural plots and major road corridors. In monochrome, the fine grain of houses stands out sharply against the broad, empty spaces around it.
A Chahār Dangeh map poster is a portrait of an ordinary, lived-in place on the southern fringe of a very large capital. It has no famous skyline to lean on, only the honest geometry of streets that people use every day, and that is what gives the finished print its character.

Arterial roads
A handful of wider roads cross the town and link it to its neighbours. They give the dense pattern a clear structure and sense of direction.
Edge of the plain
At the margins, streets give way to fields and open land, so the town appears as a defined shape rather than an endless sprawl.
