Chattogram Map Poster & Print
Chattogram lies on the northern bank of the Karnaphuli River, just before it enters the Bay of Bengal. From above, the city is bounded by water on two sides: the river to the south and east, and the coast running down toward Patenga. Inland, the street pattern is broken by a scatter of small green hills, which gives the city an uneven, knotted texture unusual in Bangladesh.
Those hills hold older neighbourhoods, government buildings and quiet residential streets, while the lower ground between them fills with markets and main roads. Along the river, the port stretches for kilometres, with docks, container yards and jetties lining the shore. The port handles most of the country's sea trade, which makes the waterfront the working heart of the map.
A Chattogram map poster shows the second city of Bangladesh as a meeting of hill, river and sea. At the southern tip, the airport and the beach at Patenga sit where the Karnaphuli widens into the bay, and across the river newer development spreads along the southern bank toward the farmland beyond.

City hills
Small wooded hills rise throughout the central districts, interrupting the streets with patches of green and pushing roads into curves around their slopes.
Patenga
At the southern tip, the land narrows between the river mouth and the bay, with the airport runway and the coastline forming clean straight lines at the edge of the map.
