Chaumu Map Poster & Print
Chaumu, often spelled Chomu, lies in Jaipur district of Rajasthan, a short distance northwest of the state capital. From above, the historic town is a dense, irregular core that grew around its fort and palace, with narrow lanes winding between houses, temples and markets.
The Chomu Palace, once the seat of a noble family of the region, still stands and now operates as a heritage hotel. Outside the old centre, newer neighbourhoods and roads extend over the dry, flat country, and the main highway toward Jaipur and Sikar passes through the town.
A Chaumu map poster shows the contrast between the compact old town and its looser surroundings. The historic lanes form an intricate cluster in the middle of the sheet, while straighter roads radiate outward into the open plain of eastern Rajasthan.
