Compact town core
The built-up centre is dense and contained, forming a darker cluster of streets that sits at the heart of the frame against the lighter rural surroundings.

Chefushan Map Poster & Print
Chefushan lies in northern Jiangsu, in the Xuzhou area, where the landscape opens into the broad, level farmland of the Huang–Huai plain. From above, the settlement is compact. Its streets form a tight core, and beyond them the countryside is divided by long, straight farm roads into a patchwork that dominates the surrounding map.
Water shapes much of this region. Irrigation channels and drainage ditches run straight between fields, and larger waterways cross the countryside at intervals. Roads tend to follow the same geometry, so the map outside the town becomes a study in parallel lines and right angles, broken only by village clusters scattered across the plain.
A Chefushan map poster captures a side of China rarely seen on a wall: not a skyline city but an everyday place on the plain. In monochrome, the dense centre and the ordered roads and channels around it balance each other, and the composition takes on a steady, almost textile-like regularity that rewards close viewing.

Farm road geometry
Around the town, straight farm roads divide the land into long, regular plots, and their repeated lines give the poster a fine texture from edge to edge.
Channels and ditches
Irrigation and drainage lines run between the fields, adding thin parallel strokes that echo the road network and hint at how intensively the plain is farmed.
