Compact bazaar core
The oldest part of town is a close network of narrow, irregular lanes, the most detailed area of the map and the natural focus of the composition.

Chidawa Map Poster & Print
Chidawa is a town in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, part of the Shekhawati region in the semi-arid north of the state. The surrounding land is flat and open, and from above the town appears as a dense centre of narrow lanes with roads radiating out toward nearby villages and the larger towns of the district.
Shekhawati is widely known for its painted havelis, the mansions built by merchant families and decorated with murals, and the towns of this region share a similar plan: a compact bazaar core, courtyard houses packed close together, and a looser fringe where streets widen and give way to farmland. Chidawa follows that pattern in its own way.
A Chidawa map poster turns this plain-edged town into a study in contrast. The irregular, finely grained centre sits against a wide field of open ground, with a handful of straight roads leading away across the plain. It is a subtle, understated map, well suited to anyone with family ties to Shekhawati.

Roads across the plain
Straight roads lead out of town in several directions across flat, dry farmland, drawing long lines that connect Chidawa with the rest of the district.
Open surroundings
Beyond the built-up area the land is largely open, so the town stands out as a distinct cluster surrounded by generous empty space on the poster.
