Clayton Map Poster & Print
Clayton is in Johnston County, North Carolina, a short drive southeast of Raleigh. The town grew up along the North Carolina Railroad in the nineteenth century, and its older centre still follows that line, with a straight main street and a modest grid of blocks on either side. In recent decades it has become one of the faster-growing commuter towns around the Triangle region.
The map records that growth plainly. Around the compact downtown, subdivisions spread out with the curving streets and cul-de-sacs typical of newer American suburbs, while US 70 and its bypass carry traffic toward Raleigh. Interstate 40 passes to the west, and the Neuse River runs along the edge of town, lined with greenway trail and patches of woodland.
Clayton is also home to large pharmaceutical manufacturing sites, including a major Novo Nordisk plant, which make up a significant part of the local economy. A Clayton map poster can centre on the old downtown, where the railroad grid is sharpest, or pull back to show how the new neighbourhoods fold around it.

Neuse River corridor
The river curves along the edge of town, and its wooded banks and greenway trail draw a soft, meandering line across the map.
Suburban curves
Newer neighbourhoods use curving streets, loops and cul-de-sacs. The result is an intricate, almost organic texture that contrasts with the straight lines of downtown and the highways.

Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Clayton draws plenty of newcomers, and a map of the town is a natural way to mark a first house, a job move to the Triangle or the place where children grew up. It also works for long-time residents who have watched fields turn into neighbourhoods.
Set the title and subtitle to a street name, family name or move-in date, and edit the coordinates line if you want a specific address. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as a digital file or a printed poster.
