The Macabu River
The river that gives the town its name runs through the valley and sets the direction of the street plan. The main crossings connect the two sides of the town.

Conceição de Macabu Map Poster & Print
Conceição de Macabu lies in the north of Rio de Janeiro state, in the interior between the mountains and the coastal plain. The town takes its name from the Macabu River, and on a map the river is the obvious guide: the streets are laid out along the valley floor, and the settlement stretches along the water rather than spreading in every direction.
The surrounding land is hilly and rural, with pasture and farmland crossed by roads that wind to follow the terrain. Side streets climb slightly away from the river and stop where the slopes get steeper. Further out, country roads link the town to the wider region, toward the coast and the larger cities of the north of the state.
A Conceição de Macabu map poster shows a town clearly shaped by its valley. The river forms a long, curving spine, and the street grid adapts to it, tighter near the centre and looser where it meets the hills. It is a gentle, readable composition with a calm rhythm.

Elongated layout
Instead of a round centre, the town stretches along the valley. On the poster, this gives the map a long, flowing shape rather than a compact block.
Hill roads
Outside the town, roads bend around the hills of the interior, connecting farms and nearby communities. Their curves give the edges of the map a relaxed, organic outline.
