Conselheiro Pena Map Poster & Print
Conselheiro Pena lies in eastern Minas Gerais on the Rio Doce, one of the major rivers of southeastern Brazil. From above, the town extends along the river's banks, with streets arranged parallel to the water and neighbourhoods climbing onto the hills that frame the valley.
The Rio Doce valley is an important transport corridor, and the Vitória–Minas railway follows the river through this region, linking the interior of Minas Gerais with the coast of Espírito Santo. On the map, the tracks run alongside the water, giving the town two strong parallel lines.
A Conselheiro Pena map poster emphasises this linear structure: river, railway and roads running side by side, with the town strung between them. Hills around the valley break the edges into irregular shapes. It is a clear and grounded map, meaningful for those who know the Doce valley.
