Cordovil Map Poster & Print
Cordovil is a neighbourhood in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, on the western side of Guanabara Bay. Its map is framed by two major lines of transport: Avenida Brasil, the long expressway that carries traffic into central Rio, and the suburban railway line with its station serving the district.
Between and around these corridors, residential streets form a tight, irregular mesh, with small blocks, narrow lanes and larger housing complexes. On one side, the neighbourhood approaches the low-lying shores of the bay, while on the other it merges with neighbouring suburbs in a continuous urban fabric typical of Rio's northern districts.
A Cordovil map poster offers an honest, close-up view of everyday Rio beyond the famous beaches and hills of the South Zone. The dense streets, the straight transport corridors and the proximity of the bay create a detailed, textured composition, meaningful for residents, former residents and families with roots in the Zona Norte.

Suburban railway
The rail line and Cordovil station cut through the area, adding another straight corridor. Together with the avenue, it frames the residential streets in a clear structure.
Dense street mesh
Small blocks and narrow lanes fill the spaces between the major routes. In black and white this creates a rich, intricate texture that captures the density of Rio's North Zone.
