Cuneo Map Poster & Print
Cuneo takes its name from its shape. The old town sits on a long, narrow terrace that tapers to a point where the Stura di Demonte and Gesso rivers converge, and from above it looks exactly like a wedge driven between two valleys. Steep banks drop on either side, leaving the city perched above wide riverbeds and green floodplain.
Down the middle of the wedge runs a straight line of arcaded streets, via Roma in the historic tip and corso Nizza in the newer part, meeting at Piazza Galimberti, a vast rectangular square. Founded in 1198, Cuneo became a provincial capital of Piedmont, and the Maritime Alps rise on the southern horizon.
A Cuneo map poster is one of the clearest urban shapes you can hang. The plateau's edges are drawn by the rivers, the central axis is unmistakable, and the regular blocks of the nineteenth-century expansion contrast with the tighter medieval core at the point. Bridges and viaducts crossing the Stura add strong horizontal strokes that make the composition feel carefully built.

Two-river confluence
The Stura di Demonte and the Gesso close in on either side and meet at the northern point, giving the city its unmistakable tapering outline.
Soleri viaduct
The long viaduct across the Stura valley, carrying road and rail on two levels, draws a firm line from the plateau to the far bank.

Zakaj Cuneo
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Cuneo is loved for its arcades, its view of the mountains and its unhurried pace, and its map is instantly recognisable to anyone who has walked from the station to the piazza. It is a natural gift for someone who studied, married or grew up here.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a date or a family name, and keep or edit the coordinates line. The five styles include Blueprint, which suits the city's precise geometry, as well as Classic black & white, Noir, Paper and Sand.
