The Damietta branch
The Nile runs through the city as a single broad channel. Its gentle curves give the poster a strong central line, with streets arranged along both banks.

Damietta Map Poster & Print
Damietta lies on the Damietta branch of the Nile, the eastern of the two channels that carry the river through the Delta to the sea. The city follows the water in a long, narrow band, with a riverside corniche along the bank and a dense older quarter spreading inland from it. The Mediterranean coast is only a short distance to the north.
Its position near the river mouth made it strategically important for centuries. Crusader armies besieged and took the city in 1219 during the Fifth Crusade, and it later became a major port for Delta trade. Today Damietta is widely known for furniture making, with workshops spread through many of its neighbourhoods.
To the west, New Damietta and the modern Damietta Port add planned blocks and harbour basins, while the wetlands of Lake Manzala lie to the east. A Damietta map poster brings the river, the old town and the flat, watery Delta landscape together in one frame.

Riverside corniche
A continuous road follows the water through the centre, separating the river from the tightly packed older quarters. It makes the shoreline read clearly on paper.
Road to the sea
North of the centre the city thins out toward Ras El Bar, where the Nile meets the Mediterranean and the coastline closes the composition.

Zakaj Damietta
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Damietta suits anyone with ties to the Delta, to the city's furniture trade or to summers spent at Ras El Bar. Personalise the title and subtitle with a family name, an anniversary or an address, and edit the coordinates line if you like.
Blueprint and Noir make the river especially bold, while Paper and Sand soften the flat Delta ground, and Classic black & white completes the five styles. HD files cost $9 for six sizes. Printed posters come on matte paper with an optional frame.
