Konkan coastline
West of the town, the shore alternates between sandy beaches, rocky headlands and creek mouths, a detailed, irregular edge that gives the map much of its interest.

Dāpoli Map Poster & Print
Dāpoli lies in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, on the Konkan coast, set back slightly from the sea on higher ground. The map shows a town of winding streets that follow the terrain, with roads dropping west toward a chain of beaches and fishing villages along the Arabian Sea. Creeks and river mouths cut into the coastline, giving the shore a broken, intricate outline.
Its elevation gives Dāpoli a milder climate than much of the coast, and it has long been called the mini Mahabaleshwar of the Konkan. The town is home to the Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, the regional agricultural university, whose campus occupies a large area. Nearby beaches such as Murud, Harnai and Karde draw visitors, and Harnai is known for its fish market and sea fort.
A Dāpoli map poster works well at a scale that includes the coastline, since the relationship between the town and the sea is its defining feature. Blueprint gives the creeks and headlands a nautical feel, and Noir makes the shoreline stand out sharply. A closer crop on the town centre and the university campus suits those with a personal link to either.

University campus
The agricultural university occupies a broad area of the town, its large plots, fields and internal roads forming a distinct open zone within the street plan.
Roads to the beaches
Winding roads descend from the town to coastal villages such as Harnai and Murud, curving with the terrain rather than following any grid.
