Dehdasht Map Poster & Print
Dehdasht is the chief town of Kohgiluyeh County, in the province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad. It sits in a basin in the southern Zagros, and the map shows a town that has filled a stretch of level ground between ridges. The main streets run across the basin, and the edges of the town break up where the land starts to climb.
The mountains here fold in long, steep lines, and they shape everything on the map, from the direction of the roads to the width of the valley. Routes leave town through gaps in the relief toward Yasuj, Behbahan and the lowlands of Khuzestan. The farmland in the basin sits between these roads in a patchwork of fields.
Dehdasht has deep roots as a regional centre, and the remains of earlier settlement are part of the local landscape. A Dehdasht map poster keeps the view simple. It shows the town, the basin that holds it and the lines of the mountains around it, drawn in clean black on white.
