Tuan River
The river curves past the urban area. It is one of the few irregular lines in an otherwise straight-edged plan and gives the composition a clear natural reference.

Dengzhou Map Poster & Print
Dengzhou is a county-level city in southwestern Henan, administered by Nanyang, on the broad agricultural plain of the Nanyang Basin. The land is almost level, so the map is shaped by roads and water rather than hills. A central urban area of fairly regular blocks is surrounded by field boundaries, villages and irrigation channels that stretch toward the horizon.
The Tuan River passes the city, and its course draws a soft, curving line against the straight streets of the newer districts. Dengzhou has a long history as a regional administrative centre. The Song dynasty statesman Fan Zhongyan served as its prefect and wrote his celebrated essay on Yueyang Tower during his time here.
Like many Chinese cities, Dengzhou has grown rapidly in recent decades, with wide new avenues and residential compounds extending outward from the older centre. A Dengzhou map poster captures the contrast between the dense original town and the larger, more geometric blocks of later development, set within a quiet plain of fields.

Old town core
The historic centre shows a tighter grain of streets than the surrounding new districts, a reminder of the city's long role as a regional seat.
Farmland patchwork
Beyond the built-up area, rectangular fields, village clusters and canals spread across the basin, adding a fine texture to the edges of the poster.
