Pendé river
The river runs close to the town through open plain. Its broad channel and margins are the principal natural feature of the map and a strong curve against the street pattern.

Doba Map Poster & Print
Doba is the capital of Logone Oriental province in southern Chad, set on flat savanna close to the Pendé river. From above it is a low, spread-out town whose streets form loose blocks of compounds that fade gradually into fields and scrub. The river, with its wide floodable margins, is the strongest natural line on the map.
The town's name is known internationally through the Doba Basin, the oil-producing area in the surrounding region. Its crude is exported through a pipeline across Cameroon to the Atlantic coast. The town itself remains an administrative and market centre for a largely agricultural province, and its plan reflects that: a few main roads, a central area and wide residential districts.
A Doba map poster presents this quiet structure clearly: the main roads crossing the town, the grid-like residential blocks and the river curving along the edge, all set within broad open land. It is a meaningful image for people from Logone Oriental, and for those who have lived or worked in southern Chad and remember its long horizons.

Loose town blocks
Residential areas are made of wide, loosely defined blocks of compounds. On the poster they appear as an open, airy pattern rather than dense urban fabric.
Open savanna
Beyond the built edge the map opens into farmland and savanna crossed by tracks. The surrounding space emphasises the town's scale within the region.
