Don Torcuato Map Poster & Print
Don Torcuato lies in Tigre Partido, in the northern part of Greater Buenos Aires. Like much of the metropolitan area, it is built on completely flat ground, and from above it appears as a wide, steady grid of residential blocks, broken here and there by main avenues, a railway line and larger open plots.
The town is named after Marcelo Torcuato de Alvear, president of Argentina from 1922 to 1928. It developed through the twentieth century as a suburb of houses with gardens, and much of it keeps that low-rise, green character, which on a map translates into a fine, even texture of small lots and tree-lined streets.
Along one side runs the Panamericana, the major highway linking the northern suburbs with the capital, its broad lanes forming a strong line at the edge of the grid. For many years the area was also home to a well-known aerodrome. A Don Torcuato map poster shows a quiet, orderly place within the vast plain of Buenos Aires.

Zakaj Don Torcuato
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Don Torcuato is the kind of place people feel attached to street by street: a childhood block, a club, a first house. A map with a personal title, a date and the coordinates makes that attachment visible on the wall.
Classic black & white shows the grid at its cleanest, and Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand offer other tones. The digital files cost $9 and come in six sizes, or you can order a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
