River Liffey
The Liffey runs through the town past the bridge that gave Newbridge its name, and its gentle curve is the most natural line on the print.

Droichead Nua Map Poster & Print
Droichead Nua, better known in English as Newbridge, is a town in County Kildare on the River Liffey. It grew rapidly after a cavalry barracks was built there in the early nineteenth century, and its main street runs parallel to the river, with the bridge that gave the town its name crossing the Liffey near the centre.
To the south lie the open grasslands of the Curragh, long associated with horse racing and military training. The town is also known for Newbridge Silverware, whose showrooms draw many visitors. Housing estates spread out from the older centre on both sides of the river.
A Droichead Nua map poster shows the Liffey curving through, the main street beside it and the estates growing outward in loops and crescents. The long, straight main street and the river give the map a clear structure that is easy to recognise.

Main street spine
A long main street runs parallel to the river, and much of the older town is arranged along it, giving the centre a clear, linear shape.
Toward the Curragh
The open plains of the Curragh stretch south of town, and on a wider frame their empty space contrasts with the housing estates.
