Dushi Map Poster & Print
Dushi is a town in the municipality of Chongqing, in south-western China. The region is known for its steep terrain, and Dushi sits in hilly country cut by streams and small valleys. From above, the town looks compact, with streets squeezed into the flatter ground and roads bending to follow the contours.
Development here follows the land rather than a regular plan. Main roads run along valleys and around hillsides, while smaller streets climb where the slopes allow. Farm terraces, orchards and woodland fill the surrounding hills, and the built-up area ends where the ground becomes too steep.
A Dushi map poster reflects this hill-shaped layout: an irregular, winding network with dense clusters in the valleys and wide open space around them. It is a distinctive image that differs from grid-planned towns, with the character of the mountainous Chongqing countryside.

Contour-following roads
Main roads curve along valleys and around hillsides instead of running straight, giving the map a flowing, irregular structure typical of the Chongqing region.
Terraced hills
Surrounding slopes are covered by terraces, orchards and woodland with few roads, leaving generous open space that frames the town on the poster.
