Neighbourhood clusters
Instead of one continuous town, the city appears as several distinct groups of streets, each with its own looping pattern and separated by stretches of undeveloped land.

Eagle Mountain Map Poster & Print
Eagle Mountain lies in northern Utah County, in Cedar Valley west of Utah Lake, with the Lake Mountains to the east and the Oquirrh Mountains to the north. It was incorporated only in 1996 and has grown quickly since. The map shows a city still filling in, with separate clusters of neighbourhoods and wide gaps of open ground between them.
The land area within the city limits is unusually large for its population, and development follows a few long arterial roads across the valley floor. Subdivisions are drawn in the loops, curves and cul-de-sacs typical of contemporary American suburbs, while the edges fade into sagebrush and foothills. The historic Pony Express route crossed this valley, and a main parkway carries its name.
An Eagle Mountain map poster captures a place in the middle of becoming a city. In black and white the scattered neighbourhoods look like islands of fine line work on a pale background, held together by a few strong roads, with the shape of the valley suggested by the empty space around them.
