Ridge-top high street
The main road runs along the higher ground. Side streets drop away from it on both sides, which gives the town a clear central spine.

Eastwood Map Poster & Print
Eastwood sits on high ground on the western edge of Nottinghamshire. The Erewash valley below it marks the border with Derbyshire. The map shows a main road running along the ridge, with terraced streets off both sides and later housing estates beyond them. To the west, the valley floor, with its river and the line of a canal, forms a clear boundary.
Eastwood is the birthplace of D. H. Lawrence. His house on Victoria Street is now a museum, and the town and nearby collieries appear, lightly disguised, in his novels. The pits have closed, but the tight rows of miners' terraces still show on the map as short parallel streets packed close together.
An Eastwood map poster works well at a scale that includes the valley. The ridge and the lower ground then read clearly, and the older terraces, the newer estates and the green space between them all fit in one frame.

Zakaj Eastwood
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Eastwood appeals to readers of Lawrence as well as to families with roots in the coalfield. It is a small English town whose streets appear in literature, and it looks particularly good in the Paper style.
You can add a title, a subtitle such as a line of text or a date, and your own coordinates line. The digital HD files cost $9, or you can order a matte print, framed or unframed, from a nearby print partner.
