Dan and Smith rivers
The two rivers meet within the city, their curving channels dividing the town and giving the poster its most expressive lines.

Eden Map Poster & Print
Eden, in Rockingham County, lies where the Smith River flows into the Dan, just south of the Virginia border. The map reflects its unusual origin: rather than a single centre, there are several older street grids, each tied to a former mill village, linked by longer roads across wooded, hilly ground. The two rivers curve through the town and decide where streets could run.
The city was formed in 1967 when the towns of Leaksville, Spray and Draper merged. For much of the twentieth century textile mills were the main employers, and the old mill districts remain visible in the street pattern. In black and white, those separate cores, the river bends and the roads linking them create a map with more variety than most towns of its size.
An Eden map poster suits people who remember the mill years, families who have lived in one of the original towns for generations, and anyone who has paddled the rivers here. It shows how Leaksville, Spray and Draper still sit side by side within a single outline, a detail local residents recognise immediately.

Three old centres
Separate street grids from Leaksville, Spray and Draper remain distinct on the map, connected by longer roads rather than merged into one continuous downtown.
Mill districts
Former textile areas sit close to the rivers, where water once powered industry, and their compact streets contrast with the more scattered roads in the hills.

Zakaj Eden
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Eden's story is written into its streets, from the mill villages to the merger that created the city. A map poster keeps that story in view and makes a natural gift for anyone whose family history runs through Rockingham County.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps naming the original town your family came from, and edit the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper suits the older mill districts and the soft curves of the rivers.
