Road network
The main roads through Effium link it to neighbouring communities. The settlement has grown along them, so long, branching lines shape the map.

Effium Map Poster & Print
Effium lies in the Ohaukwu Local Government Area in the north of Ebonyi State, in southeastern Nigeria. It is a farming community. On a map it looks less like a single compact town and more like a network of roads and settlements spread across farmland. Homesteads line the routes, and clusters form around junctions, markets and schools.
Ebonyi is one of Nigeria's main rice-producing states, and yams and cassava are also grown widely. The land around Effium is mostly farmland. Because the terrain is gentle, the road network spreads freely, and patches of trees and cultivated plots fill the space between the settled strips.
An Effium map poster shows a settlement pattern that is typical of rural southeastern Nigeria yet specific in every detail: the routes people travel each day, the junctions where they meet and the spaces in between. In black and white, the scattered lines become almost abstract, delicate and open rather than dense.

Dispersed settlement
Instead of a tight urban core, homes and compounds are spread across the area in clusters. This gives the poster a light, open texture with plenty of white space.
Farmland setting
Fields and farm plots fill the land between the roads, a reminder that Effium lies in a farming region known for rice, yams and cassava.
