Works district
The industrial area appears as large, blocky shapes laced with internal roads and sidings. It is the reason the town exists and still dominates part of the map.

Elektrougli Map Poster & Print
Elektrougli, in Moscow Oblast east of the capital, is named after what it made: carbon and graphite electrodes, produced at a plant around which the town grew in the first half of the twentieth century. The name roughly means electric coals. The industrial origin still shapes the map. Large blocks of works buildings and rail sidings sit next to residential districts, and the railway runs along the edge of town.
The residential part is a mix of Soviet-era apartment blocks set in wide yards and older streets of low-rise private houses. Around the town, forest and fields fill much of the space. The flat terrain means roads and rail, rather than hills or rivers, determine where the edges fall.
An Elektrougli map poster has a straightforward, practical beauty. It shows the large plant footprint, the geometric layout of the housing estates and the finer grain of individual plots, all within a compact outline surrounded by woodland. For people connected with the town or the works, it is a plan of the place where their working lives and family histories took place.

Housing estates
Apartment blocks stand at regular angles around shared courtyards. From above they create a clear, repeating geometry typical of towns planned around a factory.
Railway edge
The railway defines one side of the town, linking it with Moscow. It is a straight line that anchors the rest of the composition.

Zakaj Elektrougli
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Some towns are defined by what they make. For families whose parents or grandparents worked at the electrode plant, this map records that story in the plainest possible way, as the streets they lived on and the works they walked to.
Put a family name or a founding year in the subtitle, edit the title and coordinates, and choose one of five styles. Noir and Blueprint suit the industrial character. Classic black & white keeps the poster simple.
